Sella, Val Mezdě (Midday valley)
Vertical drop: 1400 m. 4560 feet.
Facing: North
Technical difficulty:  dubbed the "Valleč Blanche of the Dolomites", the Val Mezdi a classic and wonderful 4,000 foot downhill in a typical Dolomite surroundings.  Because of avalanches, be careful when crossing the S-W face of Piz Boč (alternative route). The downhill is not so hard.


Cristallo, Creste Bianche-Pra del Vecio (White ridges- Old Man’s field)
Vertical drop: 1500 m. 4920 feet.
Facing: north
Technical difficulty: hard only in the first part (couloir 45°  sometimes a rope is needed ), but afterwards it is not too hard.


Bus di Tofana (Tofana’ s hole)
Vertical drop: 1900 m. 6232 feet.
Facing: south
Technical difficulty:  hard enough (40°). Depends on the weather conditions.  You can find the December snow conditions like April or vice-versa.


Marmolada, Antermoia
Vertical drop:1250 m. 4100 feet.
Facing: north, north - east
Technical difficulty: very difficult.  The first part has 50° passages and the final section  is very difficult to find.

Marmolada, Bellunese vecchia
Vertical drop: 1150 m. 3775 feet.
Facing: north.
Technical difficulty:   easy but wonderful downhill skiing at the foot of the Serauta West face.

Marmolada, Nord e nord-ovest di Punta Penia
Vertical drop: 1350 m. 4430 feet.
Facing: north.
Technical difficulty: very hard. 50°  and crevasses.

Marmolada, In fra i Sass (Between stones)
Vertical drop: 1350m.  4430 feet.
Facing: north
Technical difficulty:  spectacular descent.  Easy / medium difficulty.

Marmolada, Lydia
Vertical drop: 1350m.  4430 feet.
Facing: north.
Technical difficulty:  classic glacier itinerary.  Medium difficulty.

Forcella Marmolada sud e nord (Marmolada’ s Col/ two different downhills)
Vertical drop: 1200 m. 3950 feet.
Facing: south or north.
Technical difficulty:  hard.  In the Col there is a short "via ferrata" and the north face has crevasses.

Sasso di Valfredda (Cold valley peak)
Vertical drop: 1000 m. 3280 feet.
Facing: north.
Technical difficulty:  classic 30°  downhill usually with good powder snow.

Piz Boč, Diretta delle Fontane (Fountains direct)
Vertical drop: 1600 m. 5270 feet.
Facing: south.
Technical difficulty:  constant 45°  couloir with rock walls. No allowance for falling  down.

Piz Boč, Canale Col Altonn
Vertical drop: 1000 m. 3280 feet.
Facing:  south.
Technical difficulty:  40° steep couloir in some places only few feet wide. Ideal for teaching steep ski and technique.

Piz Boč, Canale del Ghiacciaio (Glacier couloir)
Vertical drop: 1500 m. 4920 feet.
Facing: north-west and north.
Technical difficulty:  hard.  The biggest problem is avalanche danger.  Normally the snow is very good for skiing. Great alternative to the classic entry into the Val Mezdě.

Sella, Tre canali Sasso delle Nove (3 couloirs Nine’ s peak)
Vertical drop: 800 m. 2625 feet
Facing:  north-west
Technical difficulty:  very steep and a rope is needed. Constant 50°. Wonderful extreme downhill skiing.

Sella, Val Setus
Vertical drop: 1400 m. 4595 feet.
Facing:  north
Technical difficulty:  hard.  It is very difficult to know the right way  into the couloir.  Steep, up to 40°. The snow conditions are very important!

Sella, Val Culea Integrale
Vertical drop: 1400 m. 4595 feet.
Facing: north.
Technical difficulty:  complicated but wonderful combination for real  ski mountaineers.  Up to 45° of steep couloir.


Piz Boč Vallon+Val Litres
Vertical drop: 1500 m. 4920 feet.
Facing:  from east to north-west.
Technical difficulty:  not so hard but very difficult to find the right passages between the various rock walls.

Sass Pordoi, Canale Jočl (Joel’ s couloir)
Vertical drop: 1000 m. 3280 feet.
Facing:  south.
Technical difficulty:  hard. Up to 50°  couloir. Be careful of ice in the middle of the couloir near the rocks.


Sass Pordoi, Canale Heini Holzer (H. Holzer couloir)
Vertical drop: 1200 m. 3950 feet.
Facing:  north.
Technical difficulty:  hard.  It is considered the gateway of extreme skiing in the Dolomites.  A rope is needed.

Sass Pordoi, Val Lasties (Witch’ s valley)
Vertical drop: 1200 m. 3950 feet.
Facing:  north and south.
Technical difficulty:  easy but wonderful Dolomite itinerary.

Antersass del Sella 2 Canali
Vertical drop: 1300 m. 4265 feet.
Facing:  north-east.
Technical difficulty:  up to 45° steep couloir. Quite difficult.

Sella, Val Largia (Wide valley)
Vertical drop: 1000 m. 3280 feet.
Facing: south.
Technical difficulty:  easy, interesting and evocative.

Padon, Valle Ornella (Ornella’ s valley)
Vertical drop: 850 m. 2790 feet.
Facing:  north.
Technical difficulty:  easy. Be careful in the last part to find the right route in the forest.  It is possible to visit one of the most beautiful villages of the region: Ornella.

Padon Sud
Vertical drop: 1050 m. 3450 feet.
Facing: north-east.
Technical difficulty:  a good knowledge of  mountain skiing is needed.

Faloria, Cortina "Sci 18"
Vertical drop: 800 m. 2630 feet.
Facing:  west.
Technical difficulty:  hard.  A great downhill with grand panoramic views of Cortina d’ Ampezzo.

Cristallo, Costabella
Vertical drop: 1300 m. 4265 feet.
Facing: north.
Technical difficulty:  very hard and complicated.  Steep, with difficult passages.

Cristallo, Staunies nord
Vertical drop: 1500 m. 4950 feet.
Facing:  north.
Technical difficulty:  impressive!!!

Tofane,Canale Cacciatori (Hunters’ couloir)
Vertical drop:. 500 m. 1650 feet
Facing:  south-east.
Technical difficulty:  very hard.  Up to 45°  with a narrow couloir. 

Tofane, Canale del Prete (Priest’ s couloir)
Vertical drop: 350 m. 1150 feet.
Facing:  east.
Technical difficulty:  very hard. Visible from the Ra Valles cable-car. Up to 50°  couloir.


Tofane, Canale Pomedes (Pomedes couloir)
Vertical drop: 500 m. 1650 feet
Facing:  south - east.
Technical difficulty:  up to 45°  in a narrow couloir. Very hard.

Tofane, Ra Ola
Vertical drop: 1500 m. 4950 feet.
Facing: east and north.
Technical difficulty:  not so hard. Be careful when crossing at the foot of the Third Tofana.


Tofana di Mezzo (Second Tofana)
Vertical drop: 1500 m. 4950 feet.
Facing: south - west.
Technical difficulty: very hard with a complicated itinerary.

Tofana Terza (Third Tofana)
Vertical drop: 1800 m. 6000 feet.
Facing: north.
Technical difficulty: very, very hard.   Probably one of the best downhills  in the World!

Forcella Col dei Bos (Col dei Bos Col)
Vertical drop: 600 m. 1970 feet.
Facing: south.
Technical difficulty:  very easy.  Ideal for seeing  lots of animals such as eagles and chamois.  Lots of reminiscences from the First World War during the itinerary.

Canali Lagazuoi (Lagazuoi couloirs)
Vertical drop: 450 m. 1480 feet.
Facing: south.
Technical difficulty:  not too hard.  A good choice for  learning  steep ski techniques.

Piccolo Lagazuoi par. sud (Little Lagazuoi, south face)
Vertical drop: 500 m. 1650 feet.
Facing: south - west.
Technical difficulty:  lots of great opportunities for steep skiing.

Col Toronn couloir
Vertical drop: 1000 m. 3280 feet.
Facing:  south - east
Technical difficulty:  hard.  Up to 45°  couloir.

Sass Ciampai couloir
Vertical drop: 1000 m. 3280 feet.
Facing: south-east.
Technical difficulty:  hard.  up to 45° couloir.

Val Scura del Sassongher (Sassongher’ s Dark valley)
Vertical drop: 1200 m. 3950 feet.
Facing:  east.
Technical difficulty:  hard.  Very complicated uphill route.  A real jewel!

5 Torri Boa (5 Towers)
Vertical drop: 700 m. 2300 feet.
Facing: north-east.
Technical difficulty:  very easy.
