A fascinating trek in the magic Ladakh the “little Tibet"

Often called “Little Tibet” Ladakh is one of the most remote regions of India. Situated on the vast Tibetan plateau, it is encircled by towering 6900m Himalayan ramparts to the south while the mighty Karakoram lie to the north. This is a spectacular landscape: sweeping open sandstone valleys are intensified by emerald oases and turquoise lakes, while age-old Buddhist gompas (monasteries) perch on the highest hilltops below the swirling clouds of the mountain skies.
