Three Islands in front of the Italian coast. Each one is unique for its own and is worth to be discovered.
Corsica, even if not Italian but French, is so close to Italy that it
can be easily mistaken as a part of it. Also because in a clear day you
can see the ligurian coast from Corsica. Here is situated the famous
GR20 trekking which you can do in summer, but even in winter its
mountains are ready to leave you breathless. Skitouring here is a unique
experience!
Sardinia does not only boast some of Italys most beautiful
beaches but offers also great trekking and climbing opportunities....try
out the Selvaggio Blu trek or some exhilirating climbing....
And
don't forget about the culture, the inhabitants are very proud of. Their
dialect is not only a dialect but a real and recognized language that
even Italians hardly understand. For their diversity and uniqueness thei
are an autonomous region of Italy, a special status that only few other
regions have.
Sicily is home of the Etna volcano where you can do marvellous
Skitours....in the hot south of Italy! But here you can also do perfect
climbing in front of the sea, in winter when it is not so hot and there
are few tourists you can try out some of the beautiful cliffs near
Palermo. Here history is everywhere. You will find remains of many
cultures and it is worth to take one or two days just to discover the
surroundings and to visit the most important and impressive histic sites
of the island.
