Who the Mountain Guides are

Mountain Guides belonging to UIAGM (International Union of the Association of Mountain Guides) are professional mountaineers and skiers that succeeded in passing a series of tests and exams. During 4 years of intensive study they tackled the following subjects: Mountaineering on ice and rock, sport climbing, ski on and off piste, back-country skiing, mountain rescue, radio transmission, topography, flora and fauna, geology, medicine and tourism. UIAGM mountain guides are the only professionals licensed to teach mountaineering and to accompany one person or a group of people through mountain itineraries.
